Look out for easter eggs dotted around the site!

darkNEONrecords is a small independent record label set up in 2006 by Robert Wilson and Alex Quatermain.

Their first release was Obbligato (a musical term meaning something you are obliged to play). This album received critical acclaim from all who received a copy. It featured the seminal tracks 'Fatboy' and 'Pirates' By Robert Wilson. This was the first time these tracks had recieved a public release on CD. It also featured Alex Quatermain's first production work, in the form of two mashups. Alex Quatermain was already thriving as a DJ (Then under the name DJ Neon) Joining them on this album was DJ JG Thewless, with two live DJ mashups of James Blunt songs.

Obbligatto sums up darkNEONrecords early days. The project was completed whilst highly intoxicated in just one night. Despite being so inebriated the album was of the highest quality and professional musicians asked which studio they recorded at. The answer was, in Quatermain's living room. It highlighted both Wilson's incredible skills as a musician and Quatermain's flourishing ability as a producer.

Numerous releases followed, notable ones being Wilson's pointCLICK project and Quatermain's Creative Instinct, his first complete album.

Since then they have added guitarist James Chadwick and DJ Grey to the label and have just released two major albums: Wilson's Haunt Yourself Dead and Quatermain's Welcome To The Dirty Disco. The debut album from James Chadwick is on its way.

In 2008 darkNEONrecords represent a professional independent take on the music industry. The days of intoxication and one night albums are long gone, but the quality remains.

And new for 2008 Quatermain is working on breaking the club scene, look out for him playing in local nightclubs soon!

darkNEONrecords are not to be missed!
